Dear 4A Families,
It was nice seeing many of you at the Open House on Sunday. We have a busy and fun week ahead with many special events that will help us celebrate our wonderful school, parish and community. The last part of the newsletter will review the events of the week and include special reminders for 4th grade in particular. Mid-trimester reports were sent home last Friday. If you have not yet seen yours be sure to check your child’s filer for a white envelope. You do not need to return these reports.
If you have signed up to take a group of students to deliver certificates on Tuesday, you should have received an email last week about the day and your responsibilities. I will send out a full overview on Monday night. Thank you so much! Remember, Tuesday is a perfect uniform day. All students should have a red sweatshirt or sweater for deliveries. Thank you.
Homework: Homework will be light this week. There is not a spelling test and we have postponed the SLE test until next Friday the 10th. There may be some math work during the week if tasks are not completed at school.
Because of the light homework this week, students might want to get started on their Valentine Box Project that is due Monday, February 12th. Hard copies of the directions will be in your child’s filer on Monday, and you will also be able to access them on our website. This is a fun project—which includes design, math and engineering,—as well as time management. Be creative! We encourage creative reuse of items you already have—
Lunches of Love: 4A is signed up to bring in Lunches of Love during the month of February. Every student is asked to bring in at least one lunch. We will decorate one bag at school that will come home next Monday, along with a paper copy of the suggested items. You are welcome to bring as many lunches as you like anytime In the month of February. Click on the link for a list of suggested items. Remember, these lunches must be non-perishable. Thank you.

Tuesday
Today we reach out to others in thanks and service. Every class is doing some type of service today.
The 4th graders will begin their certificate delivery right after first recess (10:30) and will conclude before lunchtime. Be sure your child comes in uniform with a red sweatshirt. Thank you.
Wednesday:
Today we have the annual Grandparent’s and Special Friends Luncheon. Perfect uniforms and no homework tonight to celebrate our families. Reminder: There is no hot lunch today. Be sure to pack a lunch for your children!
Thursday:
We will begin the day with the spelling bee. Congratulations to our class finalists, Maddy Addicks and Aria Kim. The class runner up is Joseph Barredo. Good luck to our 4A reps! This is a perfect uniform day. We celebrate our academic excellence today—
Friday:
Animal Theme Free Dress Day.
We have the alwa.ys-exciting spirit assembly in the morning (9:30-10:45), and the crowd pleasing 8th grade vs. faculty volleyball game in the afternoon at 1:30
